Lineage Logistics is one of the world's largest cold storage companies, handling over 150 billion pounds of food annually across more than 200 temperature-controlled warehouses worldwide.
Managing massive energy consumption across a rapidly growing global portfolio of facilities presented multiple challenges: unpredictable Coincident Peak penalties from utilities, food spoilage risks, and the need to track performance across disparate systems. Achieving their net-zero carbon emissions goal by 2040 required combining energy data, operations data, and revenue data from separate systems in real time—something typical software teams can't handle alone.
Ndustrial deployed its Contxt™ platform as the system of record for Lineage's digital twins, processing over 100 million data points daily. The solution integrated legacy controls, WMS data, and EMS data into a unified platform, enabling real-time monitoring of Energy Intensity (energy per pound of food stored) and Energy Cost Intensity across the entire portfolio. Ndustrial predicted Coincident Peak periods with 85% accuracy and implemented automated load control at select facilities.
